Situated in the upmarket Milimani Estate, bordering Kisumu’s State Lodge, Kisumu Impala Sanctuary is a favorite pocket friend spot in Kisumu City. Owned and managed by Kenya Wildlife Service, the entrance fee is pocket-friendly to both individuals and groups.
The park has free roaming impalas and hippos. There are also lions, hyenas, ostriches, cheetah among others in confined areas. You can decide to take a meal at Eco Lodge strategically located inside the park but you must part with many thousands.
Kisumu Impala sanctuary hosts impalas, the rare Sitatunga antelope as well as big cats, buffalos, giraffes, cheetahs and several primate species. The sanctuary is also home to five campsites all with spectacular views of Lake Victoria. Bird watching, nature walks, and glass-bottomed boat rides compliment the activities availed at the sanctuary.
