Known as “people of the lake” or “hunters of the jade sea”  the El Molo people are the smallest and near extinct ethnic group found in northern Kenya, with a population of fewer than 300 people. They live on the east bank of the Lake Turkana Lake and are the most skillful-hardy fishermen among the mostly semi-nomadic pastoral tribes.
