In many parts of Africa, tribespeople like to associate bats with dark forces. Quite the contrary, bats are a keystone to pollination and a big-time check on insects; and thus play a critical part in the beauty of life. African bats will feed on fruits and mostly flying insects. It’s a spectacular display at dusk as one million (plus) strong cloud of bats head-out from an isolated cave in Ganga village to feed. While it may spook some, the local are oblivious of the unveil and they have learnt to co-exist happily.
