Manga Escarpment offers unique scenery and great picnic sites in Nyamira County, with a rich, refreshing and breathtaking view of the lush land below. A steep, rocky, ragged five-kilometre long cliff line defines what can only be described as a marvel of Mother Nature. Picnic lovers get more than what they bargain for. Besides the fantastic view, they are regaled with myths and legends about two mysterious caves at the escarpment. The hill offers Nyamira County a gift of nature that can generate great revenue if tapped well, says Mzee Christopher Nyangweso, 85, a volunteer tour guide. The escarpment has rich historical information on legends and myths of the Abagusii community.
