Sacred Heart Cathedral
Considered to be Kenya’s second-largest cathedral, Sacred Heart Cathedral is one fine construction. It can hold a seated congregation of up to 1,500 and is approximately 1,375 square meters, and up to 25m high, tapering down to 10m at the entrance.
The aspiration behind the artistic nature of the Cathedral was to create a structure that integrated seamlessly with its landscape setting, in both aesthetic and functional terms. The Cathedral’s tiled-roof is now a distinctive form in the rolling panorama of Kericho’s hills and valleys.
