Nairobi Railway Museum is the only museum in the east and central African that showcases the history, beauty, and nature of the 19th-century railway system. Right from the entrance you can a feel of the artistic atmosphere with so many beautiful murals where each tells a unique story. Built by the Imperial British East Africa company back in the 1890s, the construction of the line began at the Kilindini Harbour in Mombasa in 1895 and arrived in Nairobi around 1900. The railway then arrived at Port Florence (Kisumu) around 1901.
