Mutejwa Reserve

This 13.76 km2 park in the forest that lines up along the Nithi River, established in 1959 as the Mutejwa Forest Reserve, is best known for a variety of wildlife, most notably antelopes & monkeys. The reserve offers excellent opportunities to see a variety of wildlife, including gazelles and ostriches, as well as walks along the Nithi River, cave explorations, and birding, as well as hiking up the Mutejwa Hills, which is the largest hill in the Tharaka and serves as a viewing ledge at its apex.
