Muliro Gardens
Muliro Gardens, named after Elijah Masinde Muliro, a Western Kenyan freedom fighter, is a public park in the heart of Kakamega town. It was founded in 1930 by gold prospecting colonialists in the region. The park, designated as a national museum site in 2002, provides a good relaxing environment and fresh air. The gardens are now cleaner and the paths are paved as a result of the recent refurbishment, making it an excellent place to relax after doing business in Kakamega town.
