Mount Kipipiri

Mount Kipipiri meaning "butterfly" in the Kikuyu language, a reference to its profile from a distance is a sight to behold. Standing at a height of 10,990 feet (3,349 meters) and is located 130 km from Nairobi. It is a popular hiking destination for the adrenaline-filled lot and hiking starts at Geta Forest Station, Ndunyu Njeru. The trail commences with a scenic walk across the Wanjohi Valley, then up the steep trails to the summit. It takes 8 hours (round trip) on a casual hiking pace.
