Mombasa SGR Train
The Nairobi-Mombasa railway, Kenya’s biggest infrastructure project that began in 2013 and completed in 2017 is the latest "travel adventure fad" in Kenya. It replaced the 1928 British Era Lunatic Line decommissioned in May 2017. The four and a half trip on the new line, dubbed as Madaraka Express runs parallel to busy Mombasa-Nairobi road. It offers the most-extraordinary and captivating views of scenic landscapes across the 495 km voyage most notably the Tsavo Plains and Tsavo National Parks.
