Masinga Dam

Masinga Dam 1

Established in 1981 Masinga Dam which spans 46 km is the largest man-made dam in East and Central Africa region.

The dam is the main reservoir in the cascade hydropower complex of seven forks scheme with a capacity of 1.56m2 of water and used for water regulation throughout the year. The little Gichuki Island located in the midst of the dam & the Masinga Hotel makes it easy for boating & watersports.
