Kingwal Swamp
King'wal Swamp, located in Nandi County, is a massive wetland on the Yala River's catchments. The wetland (swamp) is popular as a habitat for rare Sitatunga. The swap is said to have the world's largest population of endangered Sitatunga (around 140) - a semi-aquatic antelope with webbed feet that allows it to walk on soft mud. The swamp is also home to numerous birds, small cats, reptiles, and amphibians.
