Rising to 3,000 ms at its high-point the Kiabonyoru Hill, the highest in Nyamira and, also the highest area in South-western Kenya region is a source of salient rivers found in the Gusii highland and which all empty into Lake Victoria.  From its summit, Kiabonyoru offers a scenic vantage point to view the low-lying areas as far as Homa Hills, and Lake Victoria in the west and to the east views of expansive Sotik Tea Estates. Further South spreads the vast plains of the famed Masai Mara National Reserve
