Although often overshadowed by the Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga, the native cultural heritage shrine holds a varied history on the origin of Gikuyu People. Its name that mostly translates to ‘the one from the earliest family’ point to a deep connection with the origin of the Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga. From time to time,  Elders conduct sacrifices and prayers at the shrine which is open for brave, aberrant intrepid wishing to explore more about both, these native Kikuyu traditions and origins of Kikuyu.
