Homa Hills Hot Springs
The Homa Hills hot springs are so hot that they say you can boil an egg here in less than 15 minutes. The waters are hot and salty and the evaporation leaves behind salt scums called 'bala' in Luo language. These are used by the locals as salt for their livestock. They are quite popular with livestock farmers and are usually transported over vast distances and sold to livestock farmers across former Nyanza and Western provinces.
