Strolling and sightseeing across Mombasa town is one of the most sought-after experiences in the Kenyan coast. The one monument you can’t afford to miss is the double arch across Moi Avenue formed by four huge, white, sheet metal tusks. It was erected in 1952 to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth. Historians & art lovers will also be in awe at the uniqueness of the town characterized by a heavy historical Arabic influence, numerous ancient buildings and the extravagant art designed architecture.
