If you are fascinated by the fundamental questions of who we are and where we come from, there is no better place to follow the traces of our ancestors than Nariokotome. Turkana is also home to the world-famous Turkana boy whose remains were found there in 1984. His skeleton has allowed scientists to find out a lot of information about body size, body shape, and growth rates of Homo erectus. You can visit the monument and a brass replica of the skeleton at the binding site and learn more about this boy whose remains are estimated to be over 1.5 million years old.
