Homabay is respectively the capital of Kenya’s Ohangla music which can be heard all around, especially by night. This traditional dance is very popular among the Luo community and was used to celebrate weddings and life among the communities. The music and the dance consist of more than 8 drums hit by a stick and a cylindrical shoulder slung drum played normally to the accompaniment of flute, Nyatiti or Kinanda. Tony Nyadundo, Osogo Winyo, and Onyi Papa Jey are the most popular Ohangla musicians in Kenya.
