Chebloch Gorge

Chebloch Gorge is one of the most perilously beautiful landmarks in Kenya. Lined with shard edges, the gorge is believed to have its fair share of Nile Crocodiles.

Located some 40km from Item town, Chebloch gorge was formed on the channel of Kerio River over 100 years ago.

Today the gorge has deepened to about 20m from the concrete bridge & serves as a boundary between Baringo and Elgeyo Marakwet counties. The river is crocodile infested and it has catfish and mudfish.

At a fee, you can see the experienced divers diving up to three times from different rock heights into the deep waters of Kerio River.
