The park lies on the border between West Pokot county and Turkana on the Lokichar – Lomut road and lies on an approximately 1100 km/sq. It contains dense forests which are untamed with an abundance of wildlife. Camping services are also offered at the park. During the late afternoons as the sun is setting one can spot wild animals like buffalos, gazelles, hyenas, warthogs elephants, and zebras. The Kori Bustard, a tall rare bird can be spotted on the tall grass hunting for insects and food. The bird is rare and the park hosts a large number. You might also see giant ant hills that stand out from the scenery.
