Bonjoge National Reserve
Bonjoge is located some 15 kilometers north of Kisumu on the undulating uplands of the Nandi Escarpment. The reserve is a designated national reserve with an area of 21 km2 that is ideal for hiking and camping. It was a lush, biodiverse area with rivers swathed in riverine woodland that flowed down to the Victoria Lake Basin. The Kaputei entrance is the best way to get to Bonjoge. The reserve is ideal nature walks and game drives, with a small population of wildlife such as monkeys, leopards, and snakes.
