Boat riding & Bird watching at Lake Naivasha

Boat riding & Bird watching at Lake Naivasha 1

Lake Naivasha is as much a weekend retreat for city residents as a stop-over for tourists. At 1,890m (6,201ft) it is the highest of the Rift Valley lakes. The reed-rimmed shoreline, with its floating clumps of papyrus, changes constantly with the fluctuating water level.

You can fish for black bass and tilapia, but the main attraction of this freshwater lake is its birdlife, which is best observed on a boat trip to the wildlife sanctuary on Crescent Island.
