David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust offers a very rare opportunity to see young elephants up close in Karen, Nairobi. The little elephants are adorable, well-kept and very playful. These elephants are rescued from the wild and cared for at the place. A detailed lecture is also given explaining each elephant’s story. You can touch the elephants.
It is a real treat to see a baby elephant trot along, trunk and ears flopping this way and that as they discover what they are supposed to do with them. It is like watching a playground full of kids – tearing around, chasing each other, playing, arguing and even standing in a corner and visibly sulking! Visitors are encouraged to adopt an elephant and souvenirs are sold in the shop.
